Since its first launch in 2018, Empathy Project has engaged more than 3,670 learners, while over 400 people have been involved as facilitators and volunteers, and there were 670 stakeholders have taken respective roles to achieve the shared goal.
When the pandemic Covid-19 first hit Indonesia in March 2020, SociopreneurID redesigned the delivery of the Empathy Project by bringing together professionals and energising youths from all across the country to virtually work together and produce educational online content for children whose learning processes are affected by the pandemic situation.
The Virtual Empathy Project has engaged 300 professionals and youth to produce 80+ Free educational content with 15,000 volunteering hours invested. In March 2022, a new approach to delivering Empathy Project has been implemented. In collaboration with the government of Solok City, West Sumatera, we delivered a hybrid Empathy Project and engaged a total of 1,270 learners, 150 facilitators, and supported by 60 stakeholders.
Thus, this session will provide knowledge about what is Empathy Project? How does it work? Who works on it? and who are the actors? But the most important is to share our thoughts about Empathy and its importance from different perspectives.
