In #SemingguSebuku, we focus not only on which book do you read; we focus on each member’s improvement through reading. Different people will see a different angle of a book. The person who shares the book matters and when a member shares a book, he/she does not only share the book but also his/her values that are discovered upon reading the book.
Our storyteller for this week is Juliastoriza. He wants to tell stories and share her experiences and self-discovery of the book Pulang by Leila S. Chudori
Pulang (Chudori, 2013)
Set in the political turbulence of the 60s, Dimas and his friends were stuck, unable to return to Indonesia. Wandering in countries of people as political prisoners until finally settling in France and building a new life. The novel Pulang describes a longing and deep desire to return home to Indonesia.
